Due to popular demand, BrainyApp is now available internationally!! And an Android version of BrainyApp is now in development.
BrainyApp for iPhone and iPad has been developed by Alzheimer's Australia in partnership with Bupa Health Foundation to raise awareness of the risk factors for Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, and to help you be brain healthy.
There are 270,000 Australians currently living with dementia, with this number set to increase to 580,000 in the next 20 years. But there is something you can do to reduce your risk.
Scientific evidence tells us that certain lifestyle and health behaviours, particularly around midlife, are associated with reduced risk of developing dementia in late life. In fact, the changes in the brain that lead to dementia can start when people are in their 30s and 40s.
So, look after your brain health to reduce your risk of dementia. It's never too early or late to start, as brain health can be improved and protected at any age.
BrainyApp is free and available on the App Store.
We are planning future updates to BrainyApp. If you have any comments or suggestions, please send us an email.
